May 8, 2013 Wednesday Workshops Using Pivot Tables to View Student Performance Data Are you looking for ways to view student performance trends, make comparisons, and discover patterns at a glance? Ever wonder how pivot tables can help make student data more useful? Pivot tables are interactive tables that automatically extract, organize, and summarize your spreadsheet data. With dozens of students and hundreds of assessment results to manage, pivot tables will help you reveal the meaning behind the data. Whether you are a classroom teacher seeking to better understand your students, or an administrator looking for creative solutions to view school-wide results, come to this workshop and learn how to quickly create pivot tables and interactively explore the significance of your student performance data. Host and Presenter: Adam DiGiacomo, Director of Data and Technology Defining Your Essential Story What motivates donors to invest in your school? How do you feel your donors would evaluate the return on their investment in the school? In this workshop, participants will examine annual gift campaigns and their importance in the development of a solid fundraising plan, discuss the art and the craft of stewardship, and brainstorm methods to communicate effectively with key constituents. This workshop will provide an overview of Peak to Peak’s Advancement Office structure and its strategic vision and purpose. Participants will explore key concepts for defining a school’s essential story and leave with several key strategies to implement an advancement office model.
